Yes, families of cassowaries are known to wander through the campground at their own leisure. They are interested in eating fruit from the rainforest trees, such as quandong, fig and cassowary plums. We do not allow you to feed the wildlife here as it can create demanding and dangerous behaviour in the cassowaries. The best way to enjoy the wildlife here is through your zoom lens.

A designated communal campfire is available to all of our camp guests. You will find it located close to the camp kitchen. We hope you use our campfire as it is such a great way to get to know other campers, perhaps creating lasting friendships.
