Daintree Rainforest Village Facilities
Our camp kitchen is one of the best in the forest. We have two free barbeques, a gas cooker, a big fridge plus electric jugs and a real toasters. There are spacious prep benches. The dishwashing sinks have cold water only, so boil the jug for a hot wash. There is ample seating for small and larger groups. The view of the forest from the dining area is simply stunning.
Daintree Rainforest Village laundry is located between the male and female bathrooms within the main campground. Two coin operated washing machines and one dryer plus tubs and benches will help you get through the chores easily. Grab a novel from the free book exchange or flip through a magazine while you do your laundry. There are clotheslines for your convenience in the garden behind the building. Laundry powder, pegs and coins are available from the shop.
Your stay at the Daintree Rainforest Village is a pleasure because of our sparkling clean bathrooms, spacious cubicles and delicious hot water showers. Men’s and ladies bathrooms are fully screened so you won’t have unexpected encounters with bugs and other wild visitors. There are 240 volt power points in the bathrooms if you need to charge a toothbrush or blow dry your hair.
Please be aware there are no chemical toilet dump points within the Daintree National Park. Please use the free dump points at Craiglie near Port Douglas or at Mossman Caravan Park before you cross the Daintree River by ferry.
Sitting out under the stars and swapping travel stories by the fire is a simple and memorable pleasure. When you are surrounded by the luscious Daintree Rainforest, the experience is unforgettable. Wood is provided for free, but it is up to you to get it going. So gather round with fellow campers in the evening, maybe roast some potatoes or toast some marshmallows. You can find the communal campfire on the common area close to the camp kitchen. Individual fires are not permitted in the main camp ground.
It is not recommended to take caravans on the Bloomfield 4WD track . You can store your van with us in a secure area for $10 per night, leaving you free to explore the Bloomfield Track and Cooktown without the stress of towing.

If you are planning to challenge yourself on the Bloomfield Track this is the last fuel stop until you reach WujalWujal. And don’t presume we are overpriced just because we are remote!

What is a servo without a servo pie? Well it is just a petrol station. We serve hot servo pies from Mrs Mac and Outback. They are perfect for a snack any time of day. Get one from the hot box now!
Newspapers are almost a thing of the past…but you can still get the local rag, the cairns Post on Tuesdays and Fridays here. We also carry a small range of magazines.
